New collaboration with 360° Collective
A NEW COLLABORATION IN GLOBAL EXPERIENCE CREATION
Live Legends and 360° Collective had the honor of lighting the historic opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) in Cairo, Egypt, on November 1, 2025, which has been viewed by more than one billion people worldwide. The museum has been in the planning and construction phases for the last twenty five years. Now, with the historic opening, the museum houses nearly fifty thousand artifacts covering more than five thousand years. One of the twelve galleries that are currently open has a King Tutankhamen exhibition uniting six thousand artifacts for the first time since 1922.
The collaboration on the lighting design and live operating of this spectacular historic event kicks off a new relationship with Live Legends — and three affiliated companies; Live Legends Music, Vision Impossible, and Unlimited Productions — being added to the global roster of experts of the 360° Collective, while the companies also continue to operate independently. Their contribution to the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum served as a showcase for their complimentary approach.
Serge Patist commented: “When our client, Hilights Group, reached out we instantly realized that this event needed something special. When we brought in light designer Roland Greil from 360° Collective to collaborate with us the connection was immediate. As fellow light designers, we were able to level with each other and understand each other’s vision instantaneously. This synergy made it incredibly easy to form a strong team and make the magic happen.
The full team dedicated almost a week to pre-visualization in our state-of-the-art studio in Abcoude and then two intensive weeks to programming on site at the museum and the pyramids.”
Roland Greil, who was responsible for the lighting design of the event, added: “The 360 Degree Collective distinguishes itself in numerous ways.
